Should one LinkedIn agency do both your content and your outbound?

Daniel NogueiraDaniel Nogueira, Co-founder, Scale Content Labs·Updated

The short answer

Content and outbound work better together: prospects who get your message check your profile, and a profile full of useful posts gets more replies. But one agency doing both is only an advantage if it's good at both. Many are strong at one and bolt on the other. Judge each half separately.

Why the two help each other

  • Outbound gets a look, content earns the reply. When someone receives a message, the first thing they do is open your profile.
  • Content warms people up before you ever message them. Someone who has read three of your posts is not a cold lead.
  • Outbound feeds content. Objections you hear in conversations are the best raw material for posts.

The risk of one agency doing both

  • One half is an afterthought. Ask for examples of each separately: live profiles for the content, reply and meeting rates for the outbound.
  • The voice doesn't match. If posts sound like you and the DMs sound like a template, prospects notice.
  • Your account is on the line. Aggressive automation can get a LinkedIn account restricted. Ask exactly how outbound is sent and at what volume.

Where we fit, honestly

Our package is built around content and inbound: posts, lead magnets, landing pages and DM automation for people who engage with your posts. It doesn't include cold outbound campaigns. If outbound is a must, pair us with an outbound specialist and judge them on their own results.

For the difference between the two models, see LinkedIn lead generation agencies for B2B.
